I love my 2008 2.2diesel 6speed auto but since I bought it last October it has cost me a fortune £2.5k+ with fuel system problems, glow plugs, Oil leak etc see my previous topics for my woes anyway I have recently had firstly flashing glow plug alarm and gearbox fault on info system this has happened several times, turn engine off remove key
Remove the engine cover. then remove the oil filter housing wich is the black plastic cylinder with the 32mm nut on top. You should then see the glow plugs to the left and right of where the oil filter was situated. There is a plastic strip that clips onto the 3 glow pugs on either side of the engine.
X-Type diesel runs rough on cold idle. I have an x-Type 2.2 Diesel with approx. 100K on the clock. Recently (and I think it is getting worse with time) the engine runs quite rough when first started up from cold. On starting off down the road with a cold engine it is a bit stutter/jerky. Once up to normal temperature it seems to be quite normal
